Playoffs Game 2 Round Robin
Welcome to the wild, wild, west of hockey
Without a doubt, the craziest game the Warriors have played all season. With a very slow start, and trailing the Mudcats 6-2 after the 2nd period, and 7-3 mid way through the 3rd, the Warriors stormed back to upset the Mudcats 8-7, scoring shorthanded with under 2 minutes left to win the game. A strong positive from our game was that we went 2/2 on the Powerplay, and despite giving up a goal on the PK, we not only killed a penalty with 2 minutes to go in the game, but we scored during that time.
A very exciting and epic comeback tonight, proved once again that our team can compete and outwork any team that we play against. However, we need to not let ourselves get put in a situation where we need an epic comeback. We need to play better for the whole game, including covering the man in front of our net. This was a very big problem tonight, along with forwards having their sticks in the air when having a 2nd scoring chance. If we bare down on the little things and continue to push hard, hopefully we will not need big late game comebacks to win.
