Jr Falcons in Danger Thanks to Rangers
The GCMHA Minor PeeWee Jr. Falcons are in danger of not advancing to the finals of the NDHL Play-offs as a result of a loss to the Glanbrook Ranger PeeWee AE team last night in Glanbrook. Despite out shooting the Rangers the Falcons came up just short and are now needing the help of other teams if they hope to advance to the NDHL Finals.

The Jr. Falcons got off to a great start taking away time and space from a very strong Glanbrook team. The Rangers got on the board first early in the second period. Just 3 minutes later though Jr. Falcon centreman Robbie Denham won an offensive zone faceoff back to right winger Owen White who took a quick shot towards the net. Left winger Pierce MckMeekin jumped on the loose puck and put it past the Glanbrook goalie and into the net. Denham and White were given assists.
The Rangers took the lead again just before the end of the second period. However, with 6:06 remaining in the game Falcons left winger Myles Radersma scored with assists going to centreman Eric Venneri and right winger Owen Bartel. The game was once again tied.
With 3:19 remaining in the game a questionable penalty was called on the Jr. Falcons. Unfortunately that opened the door for Glanbrook and with 1.55 left on the clock Glanbrook scored the winner. The Jr. Falcons pulled their goalie in an attempt to tie things up, but to no avail.
Ben Brendzy was very good in goal robbing the Glanbrook players on a few shots that seamed labelled.
The Falcons wish Glanbrook good luck as they are also still in the OMHA Playoffs and have advanced to the semi-finals.

In an earlier game, the Falcons couldn't shake off the rust after a two week layoff and were downed 3-2 by the Lincoln AE team despite out shooting their opposition 26-16. Scoring for the Jr. Falcons were Dan Demontigny and Adam Weber. Assists were credited to Weber, Ben Armstrong and Denham.

Up next for the Jr. Falcons is a game this Saturday at 6:15pm at Bill Burgoyne Arena against the Niagara Falls AE team.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
