Rush Rushes to Score Winner
Dylan Rush rushed the puck up the ice and scored the eventual game winning goal as the Jr.Falcons defeated Niagara Falls AE 5-4. With their backs against the wall, the Minor PeeWee 'A' Jr. Falcons rose to the challenge in this "Must Win" game Saturday night at Bill Burgoyne Arena. The Jr. Falcons must also win their last game in the round robin portion of the NDHL playoffs "and" get some help from other teams if they are to have any chance of advancing. While the Jr.Falcons dominated most of the game outshooting Niagara Falls 28-14, a strong performance by the Niagara Falls goalie (and his goal posts) combined with some defensive miscues by the Jr. Falcons helped keep the game close.

Adam Arsneault played well in net for the Jr. Falcons. However,  the occasional missed defensive assignment by the Jr.Falcons resulted in Niagara Falls getting some odd man rushes and point blank shots. Adam bailed out his teammates on several occasions but one player can only do so much.

On the score sheet Connor Burke's line led the way with three goals. Line mates Adam Weber and Ben Armstrong each scored and each had an assist. Burke had two assists including one on the game winning goal by defence man Dylan Rush. Defenceman Colton Rothney chipped in with two assists on the Burke Line goals.

Owen Bartel also scored for the Falcons with assists going to line mates Eric Venneri and Myles Radersma. Falcon's left winger Pierce McMeekin scored with line mates Robbie Denham and Owen White picking up assists.

It was an overall good effort and nice to see the boys back in the win column.

Up next for the Minor PeeWee Jr.Falcons is their final game of the round robin portion of the NDHL playoffs against arch rival Grimsby Minors. Game time is 6:15pm this coming Saturday at Bill Burgoyne Arena.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
