Minor PeeWee A's Finish on a Positive Note
Goals by Adam Weber and Owen Bartel (with the winner) gave the Jr.Falcons a 2-1 victory over the Grimsby Minor PeeWee "A" Kings. Bartel's goal came with the goalie pulled and the score knotted at 1-1. The Jr.Falcons were NOT going to settle for a tie. It had to be a win.
It was Ben Brendzy's turn in net as the goalies continued to alternate as they have all year. Ben had a strong game turning aside all but one of the Grimsby King's attempts to score, stopping 18 of 19 shots.
Coach Jim has decided to give "every" player an assist tonight as it was a great "TEAM" effort.
I am writing this news item tonight as I sit in an ocean view hotel room in beautiful Singer Island, Palm Beach, Florida. It's just Michelle and I down here as we are here partially on business but a few days to relax too. Robbie and William are at home with older brother Rick who has been taking them to the early morning practice this week. Thanks to Coach Dave and the other assistants helping run those practices in my absence.
Just a reminder don't forget to take both jersey's to practice tomorrow to hand in to our Team Manager Chris Brendzy.
By the way, for those of you who were talking with me about a tournament down here next year. It would be a great idea.
