Falcon's Continue Winning Ways!!
The Falcon's have added to their 5 game winning streak with wins away @ Lincoln and again today @Dunnville. As we get closer to playoff time the boys seem to peaking at the right time. Good team play has brought the Falcon's together as the top team in the division and the team to beat everytime they step on the ice..
The most recent game had as away @ Dunnville for a rematch of our season opener. As expected the Falcon's took control early and really never looked in any trouble. In an attempt to confound our team, the Mudcats went with a new "no goalie" 6 man attack to start the game.. While perhaps this style may work in the local Mud Leagues, it has a ways to go before it catches on in the big city..after netting an empty netter early, the goalie returned to action and we settled into what was an uneventful game with the Falcon's winning 3-0 in what easily could have been a more lopsided victory. As has been our way this year, we let teams hang around with us.. The bi-product of winning streaks however, is complacency.. Which is where solid coaching comes into play to keep the boy's motivated and keep their eyes on the prize each game. We seem to have all the bases covered and I'm looking forward to a long run this year..
