Regular Season Game 12: 3-0 L vs. Niagara Falls

Riding a high off the most recent victory vs. Oakville, the Falcons battled the Canucks last Tuesday in what was hoping to be a continuation of where we left off vs. Oakville. Unfortunately, we were unable to generate much as the Falcons had a poor outing, losing 3-0.
There was a bit too much confidence coming into the game, thinking that hey since we beat Oakville the Falls will be a piece of cake. Unfortunately, that attitude left us unable to get going in the game, where we were outskated and out gunned all game long. Cohen had to make some really big saves in order to keep the game at 3-0. Poor execution on our breakout was a main cause for concern, as the canucks were able to hem us in our own end the entire game.
Player of the Game: Caedan, who used his body to separate the man from the puck, and was very good down low in the defensive zone

Regular Season Game 13: 3-1 W vs. Guelph

The Falcons battled a quick moving Guelph team yesterday. In what won't be described as our most offensive game of the season, the Falcons were able to capitalize on the scoring chances we got. Our first goal game on a beautifully played 2 vs 1, where after a Preston shot on goal, George crashed the net with his stick down to slam home the rebound and have us jump out to a 1-0 lead. Despite the Gyphons tying the game up at 1, Colton would get a nice breakout pass from Hensley, drive down the ice and score top shelf to extend the lead to 2-1. Colton would also make a strong defensive play in the third period, to lead to a breakaway where he would then make the game 3-1, which is were it stayed.
Good game in goal again from Cohen, who has really started to pick up his play of late.

Players of the Game:

Hayden- who is really buying into "Backcheck, Forcheck, Paycheck, BRAH" and had a very strong game using his FEET!!!!
Mitchell- whos continued improvement lead to his best game of the season, moving the puck well and not running around in the defensive zone as much.
