GCMHA Falcons – 2026–2027 Tryout Registration Information
Tryout registration will open April 1st. Please fully read this page before registering. REGISTER HERE
The registration link will not be active prior to APRIL 1st in accordance with OHF guidelines.
Tryout Structure & Fees
Players may begin tryouts at any level (AA, A, or B/BB).
One flat fee applies regardless of entry level.
- If a player is released from a higher level (AA or A), they may continue at the next level without paying an additional fee.
Tryout Fees:
- U8 MD & U9 MD: $140
- U10–U16 (AA/A/B or BB): $160
- U18: (AA/A) FREE
Tryout Start Dates
- U8 MD: April 13
- U9 MD: April 14
- U11, U12, U13: April 25
- U14, U15, U16, U18: April 27

Before Tryouts
All players must be registered prior to participating:
📌 Important Notes:
- Ensure your primary email in Spordle is accurate
- Coaches will use this email for tryout updates and potential offers
- Do NOT create a new Spordle profile if you have trouble accessing your account
- If your child has played before, they already have a Hockey Canada profile
➡️ Please register as early as possible once registration opens April 1st to avoid delays and help coaches plan sessions effectively.
During Tryouts
- Attend the rink listed on the Association Calendar for your scheduled session
- Coaches will:
- Confirm registration and payment status
- Issue a numbered tryout jersey (to be kept and worn for all GCMHA tryouts)
🚫 Important:
Players will not receive a tryout jersey or be permitted on the ice unless they are registered and fully paid.
AFTER EACH TRYOUT
- All players will receive communication directly from their coach, either in person, by email or by letter, at the conclusion of each tryout date to determine whether they are:
a. being offered a spot on the team
b. being released from that category tryouts.
- If they do not receive either of the above, they are expected to be at the next tryout.
