Vulnerable Sector Checks are not to be dropped off at the GCMHA office going forward.
Here is what you need to do for your VSC (vulnerable sector check) and the OHF:
- Second step - apply online for your VSC = you'll need a credit card and make sure you keep a copy of the receipt that is emailed to you so you can upload it to the OHF portal until you receive the actual approved VSC in the mail. https://www.policesolutions.ca/checks/services/niagara/ You'll also need to upload the form you completed on the first step.
- The OHF will NOT be accepting any receipts for a VSC between the periods of April 1 and July 30, 2025. The police services generally take 6-8 weeks to process an application, so anyone who is required to submit a VSC should start the process with their police service as soon as possible. They can then submit their completed VSC to the OHF and complete the online declaration once they have had it returned to them by police services.
- Third Step -complete the online Declaration Form -
