Minimum age requirements for Coaches and Trainers NCCP minimum age requirements for Coaching Certifications is age 16 and up. ** (Assistant Coach must be 16 and Head Coach must be 19 and up) HTCP minimum age requirements for Trainer Certification is age 16 and up. ** **Must be a minimum of 4 years older than the team with which they are the coach or trainer.
