A couple quick chances by Thorold early in the first period were turned away by Nathan Chapman, setting the tone for the night. St. Catharines answered the bell and put up 3 goals in the second half of the first period as a result of persistent fore checking and a determination to score. Leading 3-0 after the first, St. Catharines kept up a torrent pace, netting 3 more in the second period. Thorold answered back with a goal in the last minute of the second, putting them on the board. St. Catharines kept pressure on the Thorold team through the third, but a late penalty resulted in a power play goal scored by Thorold. Great team effort tonight and a well deserved victory by St. Catharines.
