Regular Season Game 2
With a slow start to the first and third periods of tonight's game, the Warriors fell to the Welland Tigers 4-3. This result is disappointing as in the second period, we controlled the play the entire frame, scoring two goals to even the game up at 2. A slow start to the third period (once again) costed us the game. Once again, we battled late in the third, as it appears that we seem to play our best late in games.
Positives from the game: Another Powerplay goal from the Morgan-Eric-Noah B combo. Our compete level was good in the second period, and we proved that we can not only compete against Welland but out work them. Noah C had a strong game along the boards, and Eric lead the team with CONSISTENT TWO WAY PLAY!!!!
Things to improve on: The theme moving forward is playing hard for third straight periods. No more starting periods slow or not going at full speed the entire time. Also, our coverage in our own end, along with our defensive play in the neutral zone needs to improve, with everyone committing to a defense first approach.
