Regular Season Game 4
The Warriors had a hard fought game today, tying a tough and strong Fort Erie team. After being tied 0-0 after one and two periods, the Warriors exchanged goals with Fort Erie in an exciting third period of play.
Positives from the Game: Very good to see several mistakes from yesterday corrected today, including a much better effort level. Most importantly, our defensive coverage improved throughout the game,as we limited Fort Erie to 16 shots on net for the entire game (as compared to 29 yesterday with 15 in the third period). Also very nice to see that we used to the glass to get out of tough situations, and we saw two very nice neutral zone re-groups where we changed the direction of the play with some good passing. Good passing along the boards led to both goals today. Several players had strong bounce back games today, including strong performances from Michael, Gino, Robbie and Noah B.
Things to improve on: Our defensive coverage still needs some work, however it was greatly improved today. Also we can't sit back on the powerplay and let the puck come to us. Instead, we need to push the play more. Defensively, wingers need to stay on their side and work on getting the puck out, and our defense have to not watch the puck as much and know where their man is.
