Taking it to the Limit
The Falcons took on the top ranked Guelph
Gryphons in the first game of the OMHA Play Downs. With the coaches preaching hard work and determination all season, the boys showed this by battling back
from several Guelph leads to tie the game with minutes left. Lucas
Goodbrand stood tall in the net with the help of a great team defensive effort
in front of him. Cameron Abbs came close to netting
the OT winner, but the Guelph goalie made a save on the goal line
to keep the game tied. With just minutes left in OT, Guelph squeaked in the winner to win 4-3. Aidan Johnson led the way
with 2 goals. Luca Mucciarelli had the other. Patrick O’Farrell chipped in with 2 assists, David Greene had 1. The Falcons played a great team game
and built a solid foundation for the remaining playoff games.
