Our Background In 1949, Jamie’s Grandfather Cornelius, started Janzen Plumbing and Heating. Now more than 70 years later Jamie is still carrying on the family business. In the mid 90’s, Jamie’s father Peter Janzen re-focused the business from large scale commercial projects towards new residential construction. Although, still involved in commercial projects, Peter wanted to create a personal connection with the region he serviced, and the individuals who hired him. After several successful years, Peter became extremely ill in the beginning of 2002, and by the years end was physically unable to work as his cancer had taken control of his body. As Jamie was dealing with his father’s diagnosis, he was subsequently preparing to buy his fathers company, thus paving the way for Jamie Janze×
