Tyke 1, 2014-2015, AA/A (Garden City Minor Hockey)

As St. Catharines hosted the hockey world as part of the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour, the Tyke 1 Falcons were enthusiastic participants.  In the weeks leading up to Hometown Hockey, the Falcons collected food donations for Community Care, as part of the Food Challenge.  During the weekend, our players did their part as 'garbage collectors', and did an AMAZING job as finalists in the Rogers "Cheer Like Never Before" contest.  They also had a blast taking part in all of the activities that were part of Hometown Hockey - what a great weekend! Super proud of our team's participation!! 

This past weekend, Tyke 1 took part in the first ever tri-county Tyke 3 on 3 festival.  Our players got to spend the day playing on mixed teams, with teammates from several other Tri-County tyke teams.  They had loads of fun playing with new teammates, and especially enjoyed playing against their regular Falcons teammates!  It was another positive Tyke 1 experience!

The St. Catharines Falcons invited the Tyke 1 Jr Falcons to be their special guests on Friday, October 24, for their game versus Caledonia.  What a great night: we got to meet the players, tour the dressing room, and sit right behind the bench to support the Big Falcons.  It was an exciting overtime game, and we had lots of fun with our Falcons family, and even came away with souvenir pucks! Thanks Falcons!!! 

Thanks to everyone who supported our Poker Tournament Fundraiser last night!  It was a huge success thanks to our parents, friends, coworkers, family and hockey supporters.  It couldn't have been pulled off without the help of our team parents who served drinks, dinner, donated prizes and supplies, cleared tables, sold tickets, helped on the clean-up crew, and especially those who played.  A great TEAM effort, and a great time was had by all!
