A good game from the Warriors despite being short players....
Considering we were short players and had to adjust on the fly the majority of the game, the Warriors had a good game tonight. The 4-1 score does not reflect the actual game, as we hit 2 crossbars and ran into a good goalie playing well. Our powerplay had several chances to score, however was hemmed in the neutral zone for good portions of our time on the advantage. Good to see some of our players beginning to understand our new powerplay breakout. In addition, the compete level has greatly increased over the past 4 games, including tonight. The Warriors continue to battle hard no matter the score and that is great to see. As coach Simon said tonight in the room, we asked the players to begin to play with some emotion and over the past few weeks, since the Christmas break, we have greatly improved in this area.
