Two games over the weekend produced two wins. Friday night the Tyke 1 Falcons squared off against the Niagara Falls Flyers at The Gale Centre. The Falcons started the weekend off on a good note with an 8-1 victory. Easton Poirier's paced the Falcons with 4 goals while George Osowiec chipped in with 2. Caileigh Tiller and Chelsea Tiller each had singles. Saturday afternoon the Falcons came out with a very balanced attack and and completed the home and home sweep with a 9-0 win. The Tyke 1 Falcons were in Acton on Wednesday night to take on the Halton Hills Thunder in exhibition action. After a sluggish first 5 minutes the Falcons seemed to find their legs and came away with a 4-1 victory. Josh Savoie celebrated his 7th birthday a few days early with a hat trick and Nick Gilby also scored for the Falcons. Hudson Brens, Chelsea Tiller, Jackson Mosher , Sebastien Hayward and Dylan Rawson were very steady on defence, limiting the Thunders chances to get back into the game. The Tyke 1 Falcons made the short trip up to Milton to begin their preseason schedule. After a solid team effort, they came home with a 5-0 victory. Alex Caiazza paced the Falcons with a hat trick while Josh Savoie and Nick Gilbby chipped in with one a piece. Anna Corfield and Billy Condos were not tested very much in net but, both did what was needed to share in the shutout. The Falcons will finish the week of with a couple practices before returning to preseason action on Wednesday Sept 16th when they head to Acton to face the Halton Hills Thunder.
