Goals by Adam Weber and Owen Bartel (with the winner) gave the Jr.Falcons a 2-1 victory over the Grimsby Minor PeeWee "A" Kings. Bartel's goal came with the goalie pulled and the score knotted at 1-1. The Jr.Falcons were NOT going to settle for a tie. It had to be a win. It was Ben Brendzy's turn in net as the goalies continued to alternate as they have all year. Ben had a strong game turning aside all but one of the Grimsby King's attempts to score, stopping 18 of 19 shots. Coach Jim has decided to give "every" player an assist tonight as it was a great "TEAM" effort.  

Dylan Rush rushed the puck up the ice and scored the eventual game winning goal as the Jr.Falcons defeated Niagara Falls AE 5-4. With their backs against the wall, the Minor PeeWee 'A' Jr. Falcons rose to the challenge in this "Must Win" game Saturday night at Bill Burgoyne Arena. The Jr. Falcons must also win their last game in the round robin portion of the NDHL playoffs "and" get some help from other teams if they are to have any chance of advancing. The GCMHA Minor PeeWee Jr. Falcons are in danger of not advancing to the finals of the NDHL Play-offs as a result of a loss to the Glanbrook Ranger PeeWee AE team last night in Glanbrook. Despite out shooting the Rangers the Falcons came up just short and are now needing the help of other teams if they hope to advance to the NDHL Finals.  

The Minor PeeWee Jr. Falcons saw a 2-0 lead with just under four minutes to play slip away as they gave up 3 goals plus an empty net goal in the semi final game of the NDHL Playdowns. It was a tough loss for a team that had worked so hard and come so far from the beginning of the year. The Jr. Falcons had a notable edge for most of the game as they outshot Grimsby 31-16. Ben Armstrong scored early in the second period to give the Jr. Falcons a 1-0 lead. Assists were awarded to line-mates Owen White and Pierce McMeekin. The Minor PeeWee A's enter the Playoff portion of the NDHL Playdowns seeded second and will face the Grimsby Kings in a semi final tomorrow morning. After going 2 and 0 on day one the Jr. Falcons played Dundas Blues to a 2-2 tie in game 3 this morning. Scoring for the Falcons were Ben Armstrong and Pierce McMeekin. An Assist was credited to Connor Burke. Ben Brendzy was steady between the pipes. The Falcons out shot the Blues 19-8.
