Stealing Time
The Falcons flew in to the meet the Hespler Shamrocks, in the conclusion of a intense home and home series. The Falcons and Shamrocks tied 3-3 yesterday and both teams came out looking to gain control early. The Shamrocks opened the scoring, but the Falcons answered right back with a goal from Luca Mucciarelli and assists from Chase Dayaram . The Shamrocks would once again take the lead, but the Falcons were equal to the task as they evened the score 2-2 a goal by Colton Smith and assists from Rhys McAdam and Lake McCardle . The Falcons finally took the lead with a goal from Simon Sciarra off a sweet flip pass from Alexander Forrest and held it for most of the 3rd period.
They looked to have this one in the bag until the Shamrocks pulled their goalie and some shenanigans with the time clock and scored with just 17 seconds remaining. The Shamrocks were able to earn a tie and a spot on Santa's Naughty List.
Goalie Jimmy Damiano was busy in the pipes facing 16 shots and making 13 saves to keep the game 3-3. Hespeler outshot the Falcons 16-6.
