Falcons Score Four Shorthanded Goals in 23 Seconds
The Falcons opened the scoring with a short handed goal with 4:01 remaining in the first period. They then proceeded to scored three more goals in the next 23 seconds while killing off the same penalty. "I have been coaching a long time and never before have I seen any team at any level score four shorthand goals in 23 seconds" said Coach Denham.
Another highlight was Goaltender Will S picking up his first shutout at the 'A' level. Helping Will was the stellar play of all 6 Defencemen Dylan R, Carter G, Colton R, Brennen B, Andrew L and Ty W. The forwards also played well in their own end. As a team they held the opposition Glanbrook Ranger AE Team to just 3 shots on net.
In particular Connor B had an amazing game leading rushes into the opposition's zone and then backchecking hard to be the second Falcon into our zone arriving just in time to prevent a Glanbrook forward from getting a shot on net.
On the Scoreboard 13 of the Falcons 15 skaters picked up at least 1 point.
