Game 14: 2-1 Loss vs. Flamborough

A very good back and forth game last Tuesday, despite falling behind 2-0 in the first period. The Falcons continued to play hard and were able to generate chances off the rush throughout the game.

Key room for improvement from this game is that when we play team that relies a lot on one specific player, and the coaches highlight this, we need the buy-in from everyone. While Aidan is a specialist at shutting guys down, we need everyone upfront to contribute in this.

Despite being down 2-0 after the first and the second, the Falcons had some good push back in the third period, playing out best period of the game. The Falcons were able to score off a great defensive play by George, who stole the puck in our zone, and drove the ice for a shot on goal, which Aidan was able to chip loose to Colton, who scored on the wrap around.

Players of the Game: Zach G and Mitchell

Game 15: 3-1 Loss vs. Burlington Gold

In our most heartbreaking loss of the season, we had the opportunity to win this game, yet let it slip away. The Falcons played short handed in this game, put forth their best efforts all season. Burlington had a 1-0 lead the majority of the game, yet Aidan's good forecheck in the third period lead to a bounce our way with 55 seconds remaining. However, 2 quick goals against lead to the Falcons dropping this game in the final 34 seconds of the game.

Our old friend called watching the puck not the man, lead to 2 of the 3 goals against in this game. The Falcons need to tighten up this area of the game, as it is going to be a key to overall success this success this season.

Game 16: 3-1 vs. Flamborough

The Falcons jumped out to a 1-0 lead early in the first period, off a powerplay goal from Ovi. The Falcons had good pressure throughout the game, and were able to limit high % scoring chances for the most part of the game. After the Sabres tied it at 1 due to an odd bounce in front of our net during a scrum, the Falcons old friend of watching the puck and not the man came up yet again, were we gave up 2 more goals due to this. While the effort level was through the roof for our 2nd straight game, the little mistakes are what is costing us games.

Players of the Game: Hensley and Chad
