Falcon's make the most of Fort Erie Classic opportunity
With a late invite and playing sans a number of players this weekend, the Falcon's took to the ice and made the most of the chance.. Game #1 saw our boys taking on the  Humberview Huskies.

It was clear from the drop of the puck we would have to opportunity to pull away if we played as a team, which is what happened, ending in a 5-1 win to start things off. Missing more than few regular players, a couple of our AP players stepped up and gave us a boost. the majority of the team celebrated the victory with Some crystal ridge world famous greasy fries...As an advocate of healthy living,I both loved the fries and simultaneously hate myself for downing the entire large.. but enough about those delicious golden brown sticks of heaven..on to
Game #2 which had us up against the Clairington Toros. Not unlike the first game, we came into this shorthanded as well. And just as we did in game #1 the Falcon's came together and played another solid game netting 5 and giving them nada. 2-0 to start the tourney with a match against Ontario's #1 ranked team on tap for Saturday.
Saturday's much anticipated game against the Orillia Terriers was from what I was told, as some of us in retail don't get weekends off, was a great game with stellar goaltending. A game that would determine first place overall didn't disappoint. A 1-0 hard fought victory brought home the #1 seed.
After Orillia took care of Vaughan in the play in game the rematch was set..
I was able to see this one and it was a see saw affair that saw the Terriers really take it to us in the 2nd period, up 1-0, then 2-1, only to have them fight back for a 3rd goal in the 3rd period to send us to overtime that solved nothing even though we spent the entire 5 min in their end..
SHOOTOUT TIME. The semis came down to this, just like the Lincoln Blades Tourney.. As has become a certainty this year with our goalies and our shooters, we don't lose in a shootout...
The Finals were set.. Falcon's vs. Erie North Shore.
This game started fast for the boys with a goal in the first period, but the long weekend and playing short for long periods seemed to catch up as we couldn't get our skates under us and the game started to get away from us in the 2nd period. The whole team kept going, and pushed for the equalizer, but it wasn't to be this time around as the Storm came away with the win. Nothing to habg our heads about boy's as it was great weekend and something to build on for the rest of the season..

Great job Falcon's, but no rest for the wicked...
Back at it against Thorold Tonight...
See ya there boy's..
