5 Straight for Falcons!
The Minor Atom AA Falcons and families went on an old fashioned road trip to Orangeville Saturday and the players rewarded their fans with a 2-1 win, the team's fifth win in as many games.
Despite several great chances by the Falcons, the first period ended in a scoreless tie. Malik Moore opened the scoring for the Falcons with assists from Aidan Johnson and Alex Thai. Orangeville responded with a goal of their own and the second period ended in a 1-1 tie.
Jaxon Mosher took it upon himself to put the Falcons up 2-1 on an unassisted goal with six minutes left in the third period. The Falcons would fight hard to hold on to the lead, including killing off a two man advantage for the last two minutes of the game.
Player of the game Cohen Corbett continued his hot streak in goal and made several great saves to help preserve the win. Overall it was a very good effort from the team on what was a memorable day for the players.
Next up the Falcons take their five game winning streak to Halton Hills to battle the Thunder Wednesday at 6:45PM.
