Holiday Weekend Recap

Friday night and the parents and the siblings of the 17 players on our team battle the Jr Falcons in some friendly competition. Several highlights from the game include:
-Jesse dangling our goalie coach Larry to snipe top shelf (Larry's jock strap is still in the stands)
-Mickey continually lightening up Larry all game
-Sallah slashing Danny across the chest because Danny walked around Sallah on a 1 on 1
-Adrian C swatting kids away as they attempted to run him over
-the kids ganging up to challenge Sallah to a rumble
-Lukas T aka Nut standing on his head for the family team
-our regular goalies Jackie and Lucas showing our players how to actually play hockey
-some sick goals from Kian and Boogie twice
The Jr Falcons ended up coming back to squeeze out a 15-14 victory, after Ollie tapped in the winner with a minute to go!!!!

The Falcons would then battle a strong Guelph team. Guelph came out to play today, as they took it to the Falcons all game long. Lucas played solid in goal, stopping 19 shots and making some big saves. A tough game for the Falcons, as they were unable to make adjustments that the coaches were attempting to get the team to do throughout the game. The key to the 1-0 loss was not scoring on a 5 on 3, as we attempted 5 shots on goal in 45 seconds, however all 5 missed the net with little follow up. A few standouts today were Lucas in goal, and Kian on D who had a very strong game.

After the game, the Falcons would then head to Jerry's Pizza for a little Holiday party. Great times had by all. A very special thank you from myself and the entire coaching staff for all of the kind words and gifts tonight. It is greatly appreciated.
