OMHA Playdowns Finals

What a game vs. the #4 in Ontario Glanbrook team.....

What an effort tonight put forth by our Falcons. After getting a 1-0 and a 2-1 lead in the game, the Falcons were tied with Glanbrook going into the 3rd period at 2. However, the effects of playing a full overtime period in the semis caught up to us in the finals, as we simply ran out of gas and lost a hard fought game 5-2. This was a solid effort, as the Falcons were in the game through 2 periods and 5 minutes in the third, before running out of gas. When the GCMHA President comes into your room after the game and tells your team how proud he was of your team, you know you had a damn good game, and a damn good tournament.

Player of the Game: Carter D (2 goals and a solid game on the forecheck)

Overall thoughts of the tournament: Going into the tournament, the Falcons had not been playing amazing. However, we played 6 amazing games this weekend, and the coaching staff couldn't be prouder of the team. The Falcons worked hard, committed to playing Falcons hockey, and didn't quit the entire weekend. We showed that we are one of the best teams in Ontario. The improvement made from the beginning of the season until now has been amazing and we as a staff are thrilled to coach this team.
