Regular Season Game 25 vs. Grimsby
After a slow start to the game, the Falcons rebounded to outplay Grimsby in the 2nd and 3rd period.
The Falcons worked extremely hard to rebound after a slow start to the game. The Falcons were outshot 8-2 in the first period, falling behind 2-0. However, the Falcons play extremely improved in the 2nd and 3rd periods of the game, outshooting Grimsby 20-8 and scoring a goal to make the game 2-1. However, the Falcons fell short, losing 2-1 to Grimsby.
Despite the loss, the Falcons outplayed the Peach Kings for 2 of the 3 periods, controlling the pace of play, and acquiring more scoring chances then Grimsby in the 2nd and third. The Falcons played physical, which is a good start, and began to re-buy into the team systems. Our back check was extremely strong today, along with our defence crashing in the offensive zone. If we showed up to play in the first period, we would have won that game.
Improved player of the Game: Dylan, who had several great rushes up the ice with the puck, along with improved play in the D-zone.
Pita Pit Player of the Game: Colton, after a slow start, Colton dominated the second and third period, leading our comeback attempt.
