Minor PeeWee A'S Go 2 and 0 in Day One of the NDHL Playdowns
The Minor PeeWee A's went 2 and 0 in day one of the NDHL Playdowns.

In game one they played a strong defensive game allowing only 10 shots against while getting 15 of their own en route to a 2-1 victory over league rival Grimsby Kings. Scoring for the Flacons were Adam Weber with a Power Play goal and Ben Armstrong with a Short Handed goal. Ben Brendzy played strong in net stopping 9 out of 10 shots including a breakaway. The defence all played exceptionally well and the forwards played aggressively and back checked well all game.


In game two the Jr.Falcons faced a much improved and strong skating team from Niagara Falls. The first period ended in a 1-1 draw. Niagara Falls lead 2-1 after two periods. It was all Falcons in the third as they scored five unanswered goals to win 6-2.

Once again the Falcons played well defensively as they held the opposition to only 9 shots on net for the entire game. Scoring for the Jr. Falcons were Eric Venneri with 2, while Connor Burke, Owen Bartel, Myles Radersma, and Colton Rothney all with singles. Assists were credited to Venneri and Radersma each with 2, and Rothney, Dylan Rush, Dan Demontigny, Adam Weber, and Robbie Denham all with singles.
 
Adam Arsenalt was solid in net making a couple of key saves when the score was close. The final shots on net were 37- 9 in favour of the Jr.Falcons.

Tomorrow the Jr. Falcons will play two more games. They face the Dundas Blues at 9:00am and the Welland Tigers at 2:00pm.
